Table Moutain Cable Cars
The Table Mountain Aerial Cable Cars is a cableway to the top of Table Mountain in Cape Town, South Africa. It is one of Cape Town's most popular tourist attractions with approximately 800,000 people a year using the cable cars.[1] On the 29 December 2004 the cableway passed its 16 millionth visitor.The lower cable station is at an altitude of 302 m on Tafelberg Road near Kloof Nek. The upper cable station in on the westernmost end of the Table Mountain plateau, at an altitude of 1067 m. The upper cable station offers views over Cape Town, Table Bay and Robben Island to the north, and the Atlantic seaboard to the west and south. Make sure the next time you visit Cape Town to go see the Table Moutain Cable Cars. The scenery is beatiful and there is also a very nice restaurant on Table Moutain and the Cape Town sunset is beatiful from Table Moutain. In summer the Table Moutain Cable Cars stay open later and have sometime good specials and tarifs. The sunset in Cape Town is beatifil in the sumer months.
